Position Summary Records and maintains control of all inventory items purchased and produced. Ensures compliance with established internal control procedures. Pay Band and Posting Status Pay band : $44,660.00 - $47,000.00 This posting is for an existing vacancy Essential Job Functions The following duties are normal for this position. The incumbent may perform some or all of these duties however; it is not an exclusive or all-inclusive list. Other duties may be assigned. Maintain daily, monthly work order and cycle counts performing inventory adjustments to meet the customer needs and business flow Champion and troubleshoot inventory control problems in a timely fashion Understand key processes, tools and operations for efficient movement of goods through the manufacturing process Thorough knowledge of SAP to perform daily, weekly, and month-end reports Keen ability to drive organization's policies and procedures and guiding the facility's processes Manage the returns / reclaim Retains sample displays Identify reclaim product by checking for label damage, dents, scrapes, legible code dates, damaged product cartons, and less than full cases of product left from production compliance Account for each piece of rejected product Responsible for sealing any open/spilling products into plastic bags Verify corrugate against specifications Work in conjunction with the Quality Department for positive production results. Understand and comply with procedures and guidelines established through GRIP. Represent the QA department to all employees in a consistent manner Responsible for non-conformities that should be reported to the Quality Manager Ensures and supports to make sure Food safety, Quality, HACCP and GMP is always followed Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Knowledge of and ability to use and influence organization's policies, standards and procedures guiding manufacturing processes Knowledge of strategies and tools for controlling and optimizing the factors that lie between the purchase of raw materials and delivery of finished products Ability to effectively manage the business relationship and transactions with the suppliers of raw materials or product components Knowledge of issues and considerations for effectively managing local or distributed inventories of raw materials, work in progress and finished goods Knowledge of the processes, tools and operational considerations for effective and efficient movement of goods and materials throughout the manufacturing cycle Knowledge of the day-to-day operations of a manufacturing plant or facility Education & Experience High School or equivalent Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience required Forklift driver license an asset Physical Requirements & Work Environment Primarily works in a production and/or warehouse setting Frequent walking and standing required Occasional lifting required undefined All employees should be aware of their responsibilities and their accountability is clearly defined for key staff involved with product safety, legality, and quality systems.
