Personal Support Worker (PSW) - Casual - Laurier Manor

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with mobility , feeding, bathing , toileting and personal grooming
• Encourage resident participation in activit ies and programs
• Provide emotional and social support to residents and families
• What you bring
• Completed a PSW Pr ogram ce rtification that meets the appropriate standards as required for the position
• BSO certification preferred
• Able to perform physical tasks and duties, in cluding frequent bending, reaching and lifting
• C ompassion, professionalism, and respect
• Ability to provide care in accordance with application legislation, job routines, nursing care plans, ability to read and write English and understand verbal and written instructions in English
• Experience in Long Term Care or community home care setting with exposure to dementia and palliative care is preferred
• Ability to communicate positively with other staff, residents/ patients and families

Available opportu nities include: Part-time ; Day/Evening/Night shifts Shifts defined : Days 6:30 - 4:30, Evenings 14:30 - 22:30, Nights 22:30 - 6:30
