- Background & Requirements:
- Minimum 8-years of relevant industry experience in event infrastructure design and temporary infrastructure delivery. Preferred working knowledge of California Building Code requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Sports Management, Construction Management, Event Management, or related field or equivalent work experience strongly preferred
- Preferably with 5 years of leadership experience in the sport or live event industry
- Proven experience leading engineering or architecture and design programs - training as an engineer or architect is preferred but not required but direct experience overseeing and managing complex construction is required
- A collaborative mindset; someone who prioritizes the team and fosters a culture of high performance without ego

Director, Venue Infrastructure Delivery The VNI (Venue Infrastructure) team plays a critical role in delivering competition and non-competition venues that are functional, innovative, and accessible for the Olympic and Paralympic Games. As part of the larger Sport & Games Delivery group, the VNI team ensures that all venues are designed and developed with the highest standards for functionality, sustainability, and inclusion. As Director of Venue Infrastructure Delivery, this role will oversee and help lead the end-to-end design, construction, and delivery of Games-time venues. The Director will manage a team of Senior Managers, as well as external partners and contractors, and will be responsible for the planning and delivery of all venue delivery of infrastructure, engineering, and permitting requirements, along with central services and cross-functional integration supporting all areas of venue infrastructure. To advance venue planning efforts, the Director will collaborate closely with internal departments, external stakeholders, partner organizations, and consultants to develop and refine the venue master plan and detailed venue designs for the Olympic and Paralympic Games. This position reports to the VP, Venue Infrastructure Delivery.
