One of our flagship contracts is with the Ministry of Defence at a major base near Watford - a complex, high-profile environment where we provide a full range of hard, soft, and technical FM services. We are currently looking for a Business Support Manager who will provide high-quality coordination and delivery support across a range of project, contract and improvement activities, ensuring that key business priorities are well governed, effectively tracked and professionally delivered. The role will support workstreams such as handback, mobilisation, reporting, bids, compliance initiatives and continuous improvement across multiple clients and sites. The role will flex in line with business need, requiring strong organisation, stakeholder engagement, reporting discipline and the ability to bring structure and momentum to complex and changing priorities. As the Business Support Manager, you will: Coordinate a range of project, contract and operational workstreams, ensuring actions, risks, dependencies and deadlines are clearly tracked and progressed. Support delivery of key business priorities including handback, mobilisation, bids, monthly performance reporting, continuous improvement and other client-led initiatives. Assist in planning and coordinating handback activity Review contractual, operational and reporting requirements Support targeted thematic initiatives Gather, organise and review information from multiple sources to support evidence-based reporting, governance and decision-making Prepare, coordinate and quality check reports, dashboards, governance packs, briefing papers, presentations and other documentation Support contract and client reporting processes Coordinate meetings, workshops and governance activity, ensuring agendas, materials, actions and follow-up are managed effectively. Build effective working relationships with operational, commercial, technical and client teams, as well as SPVs, supply chain partners and other stakeholders where required. We are looking for: Strong organisational and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, coordinate project, operational and contract activities, and maintain effective control of actions, deadlines and outputs. Good communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work across a range of teams and levels. A proactive, flexible and detail-oriented approach, with strong follow-through and problem-solving ability. Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Word, PowerPoint and Excel, with the ability to produce high-quality reports, presentations, trackers and other documentation to a professional standard. Experience of working in the defence sector, incl holding MoD SC clearance Strong experience supporting performance reporting, including collation of information from multiple sources, data validation, analysis and production of evidence-based outputs for internal and client stakeholders. Knowledge of building services, facilities management, compliance, handback, mobilisation or reporting would be advantageous. Experience of working in a PFI / PPP environment. Experience supporting bids and/or mobilisation of medium to large contracts, ideally in defence and/or education.
