Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is looking for the best and brightest to join our Team! MCCS is a comprehensive program that supports and enhances the quality of life for Marines, their families, and others in the Marine Corps Community. We offer a team oriented environment comprised of military personnel, civilian employees, contractors and volunteers who keep the organization functioning smoothly and effectively. A bachelor¿s degree from an accredited college/university in an academic field related to the health sciences or allied sciences in exercise physiology, kinesiology, exercise science or a related field is required. Must have four years of fitness and facility management experience to include maintenance, planning, organizing, and administrating fitness activities. One year must be a supervisory level. Must be certified as a personal fitness trainer by a nationally accredited certifying organization recognized by Marine Corps Headquarters or obtain within six months. Must currently have or obtain within six months a group exercise certification. Commonly recognized organizations are: American College of Sports Medicine, American Council on Exercise, National Strength and Conditioning Association, Cooper Institute of Aerobic Research, and Aerobics and Fitness Association of America. Certification must be kept current throughout employment. Must be certified in CPR within 3 months and remain certified during duration of employment. Individuals who are 18 years old, or older must be able to obtain and maintain a National Agency Check with Inquiries and State Criminal History Repository Check (CNACI) background checks OR may provide water safety instruction to children under 18 years of age as long as a parent or guardian is present during the period of instruction, or Line of Sight Supervision is provided by another employee with an adjudicated National Agency Check with Inquiries and State Criminal History Repository Check (CNACI).
