Our North America Storage Compliance team is looking for a Senior Program Manager to plan and execute large-scale global programs that ensure the safe and compliant storage of Amazon's inventory requiring special controls (hazmat, food, medical devices, etc). This role requires working with different business owners across organizations to define the strategy, requirements, and timelines as well as lead different cross-functional teams. This position involves regular communication with senior management on roadmaps, program updates, risks, and change management. The person in this role is a subject matter expert in the storage of regulated materials. Key job responsibilities - Identify and lead complex regulated storage improvement projects to drive towards a best in class regulated storage compliance program. - Ensure regulatory requirements are met for existing and new products/processes by understanding product attributes to drive intended storage actions. - Provide end-to-end regulated storage compliance project management support and guidance for complex business projects and initiatives. - Work cross-functionally across risk management, real estate, engineering, business and software partners to establish storage compliance requirements and ensure successful project delivery. - Identify regulatory risks in new products and services and provide guidance for risk mitigations. - Interpret new or changing regulations related to storage compliance, construction codes, segregation of materials, drainage and containment, fire protection, ventilation, and electrical requirements to determine how it applies to business operations. - Support new business initiatives to ensure regulated storage compliance. - Develop and maintain relationships with retail, FBA (Fulfillment by Amazon), Operations, WHS, and fulfillment center partners to capture and remediate concerns. You'll leverage continuous improvement and lessons learned to advance storage compliance operations, classification processes, and training programs. You'll define program strategy with business owners, participate in cross-functional workstreams, and communicate regularly with senior management on roadmaps, risks, and change management as a subject matter expert in regulated materials storage.
