Ares is looking to invite qualified candidates to interview for a role as an Analyst with the Ares European Real Estate Equity team. The Analyst will be responsible for helping to evaluate, execute and manage a wide variety of equity investment opportunities, covering all UK and European sectors and geographies. The Analyst will be fully involved in all aspects of the investment process, with particular focus on financial modelling, preparation of investment committee materials and investment recommendations, market research, the management of new and existing investments, and interactions with investors. Primary functions and essential responsibilities The Analyst will be an important member of the team and will work closely with senior investment professionals. Key job functions include: Collaborate on a small deal team to analyse and execute real estate equity investments; Communicate with and report to all levels, from Associate to Partners; Perform extensive financial modelling; Prepare investment committee materials; Develop and maintain research on certain geographic markets, property types and/or sectors; Participate in all aspects of investment transactions, as requested by team members: Deal screening and financial modelling; Support in formulating investment recommendations, including involvement in the preparation of investment committee and other investor materials (memos, responses to investor requests, ad hoc analysis); Due diligence on new transactions; Strategic oversight, monitoring, reporting and management of new and existing investments Interaction with counterparties, lenders, investors, lawyers, consultants and various other advisors and deal participants
