Additional Information

As recently announced, Amazon Supply Chain Services (ASCS) is a core Amazon's customer promise that can now be used by any business, to help them improve customer experience, move faster, save money, and simplify things. Our mission is to architect the world's most customer-centric, reliable, intelligent, and seamless end-to-end logistics experience from factory floor to customer door, across every channel, with visibility and intelligence to help you grow. Amazon's Multichannel Commerce and Fulfillment (MCCF) UX team is seeking a Principal UX Designer to help define the future of how businesses of all sizes manage, fulfill, and grow through Amazon's multichannel commerce and supply-chain solutions. This is a strategic, hands-on role where you'll hold design authority over critical shopper and merchant journeys across multi-channel commerce and operations experiences. You'll move fluidly between vision-setting and high-craft execution, some weeks defining north-star experiences that shape product roadmaps, other weeks producing the artifacts that drive critical decisions. Your mission is to distill the complexity of global supply chains into intuitive, scalable experiences that empower merchants from small businesses to large enterprises. You'll lead design strategy for the MCCF UX org, influence senior leaders across Product, Engineering, and Research, push AI into workflows where it genuinely reduces friction, and raise the bar through mentorship and systems thinking. Design is your strategic lever, not decoration. You're as comfortable in a VP review as you are in interaction details. You move fast and bring people with you. Key job responsibilities Own the design vision for MCCF merchant experiences-set direction, deliver outcomes Set the standard for IA, interaction patterns, and shared surfaces teams build into Distill complex supply-chain operations into experiences that are grounded in how merchants think and work Create flows, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes that make complex interactions tangible and drive decisions fast Design with AI and for AI-natural extensions of workflows, not bolt-ons Own MCCF's design patterns and UX standards-drive adoption, not just documentation Influence at Director/VP level-advocate for merchants, raise the quality bar Partner with PM to shape requirements and drive strategic product decisions Spot cross-org opportunities and align teams on scalable solutions Build org empathy through personas, journey maps, and models that stick Uplevel designers on craft and strategic thinking-inside and outside the team Coach cross-functional teams so human-centered design becomes how they operate
