The newly established research project focuses on the topic "Risk stratification for atrial fibrillation and heart failure in individuals with rare cardiomyopathy gene variants using novel methods". The project aims to link large-scale epidemiological data, cloud infrastructures, and machine learning to develop predictive models for high-risk patients. Your role. - You will establish systematic access to large genomic and phenotypic databases (especially UK Biobank and All of Us) and take over their continuous maintenance. - You will be responsible for data management and pipeline infrastructure within dedicated cloud computing structures, such as DNAnexus and the All of Us cloud infrastructure. - You will structure and harmonize the registry and patient data collected within the framework of the clinical work package (WP4), with a specific emphasis on assisting with the maintenance of the TRUST cohort. - You will coordinate data-protection-compliant data exchange as well as rights management between the postdocs and PhD students of the team, as well as the TRUST group. - You will design and implement automated pipelines for quality assurance and AI-assisted anomaly detection in heterogeneous clinical datasets. - You will establish uniform code standards and version controls to ensure reproducible data processing throughout the entire project. Part-time employment may be possible under certain circumstances. ### Darauf freuen wir uns - Completed studies in Data Science, (Bio)Informatics, (Bio)Statistics, or a closely related quantitative field. - Technical excellence in Data Science and Data Engineering, demonstrated through an active GitHub profile, peer-reviewed publications, or a comparable project portfolio. - Proficiency in PyTorch, combined with hands-on experience in developing modern microservice- and API-based software while adhering to high software quality standards. - Solid experience working with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL), object storage (e.g., MinIO), and version control systems, including CI/CD pipelines with Git and GitLab. - Genuine curiosity about clinical cardiovascular medicine, intrinsic motivation, and a highly results-oriented mindset, and you should possess strong self-management skills. You can articulate and demonstrate all of these in your cover letter and interview. - A strong intrinsic drive to advance the translation of scientific findings into clinical practice and patient care. - Excellent communication skills in both German and English; the ability to act as an effective bridge between technical and clinical partners ### Immunitätsstatus Eine Einstellung ist nur möglich, wenn nach den jeweils geltenden (gesetzlichen und medizinischen) Vorgaben gegen das Masernvirus ein vollständiger Immunisierungs- bzw.
