Today, our Advanced and Minimally Invasive Surgery program continues this legacy through cutting-edge, innovative techniques-including robotic surgery. Position Overview Robotic Surgery Physician Assistants support a wide range of surgical specialties, including: General Surgery Colorectal Bariatrics Gynecology Urology In this role, you will function as a key member of the surgical care team, with responsibilities that include: Providing intraoperative bedside assistance during robotic procedures Rounding with surgical teams to evaluate and manage patients Writing progress notes and placing orders Performing bedside procedures as needed Delivering coordinated, high-quality care across the patient journey You will serve as a frontline provider, ensuring continuity of care for surgical patients throughout their hospital stay. Schedule Monday-Friday, flexible shift coverage
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in surgical inpatient medicine
- Required Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience in robotic surgery
- Experience with Intuitive Surgical systems (Xi, X, and/or dV5)
- Licensing & Certifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Current New York State PA licensure
- NCCPA certification
- Current ACLS and BLS certifications
- NYS Infection Control certification
- DEA registration with NYS Opioid Prescriber Training compliance
