About the role

About the Role: We are currently recruiting for an Area Manager to manage an established customer base across South Kerry within our leading Agri business. The base site for this role will be our Area Office in Castleisland. This is a field-based Area Manager position focused on maintaining and growing relationships with dairy farmers, providing technical product advice and driving sales growth across feed and fertiliser products. The successful candidate will inherit an established territory with over 680 milk supplier accounts while also identifying and developing new business opportunities across the region. What will I be doing? Manage and grow an established portfolio of agri customers across South Kerry. Build strong relationships with dairy farmers through regular on-site visits. Identify opportunities to regain lost business and open new accounts. Analyse sales performance and implement strategies to maximise results. Maintain accurate customer records and activity updates. Manage customer accounts and support credit control processes. Manage, lead and develop the Store Team members reporting into you. Ensure all Personnel are adhering to the Health & Safety guidelines. Monthly safety meetings with Store Managers and carry out 2 Bi-annual audits for each location. Monthly Debtor meetings with Store Manager, Operations Manager, Commercial Director and Financial Controller. Dealing with all Milk Supplier Queries on all schemes, loans, etc. Liaise with Milk Quality Manger, Transport Manager, Mill Manager, Commercial Director and Operations Manager. Keeping them informed on issues, as they arise. Build awareness of new opportunities through internal networks. Attend relevant Farm Walks, Farm Meetings, Shareholder & Advisory Meetings. These include: Agricultural Science Degree or equivalent. Detailed and proven knowledge of dairy farming. Experience managing customer relationships. Negotiation and Communication skills.
