About the role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Workshop Technician to join our team in Edmonton, Canada. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a variety of equipment and machinery. Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on mechanical and electrical workshop equipment Diagnose equipment issues using analytical problem-solving techniques and implement corrective actions promptly Operate, calibrate, and test equipment to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with specifications Maintain detailed maintenance records and documentation of repairs, performance, and testing results Organize tools, parts inventory, and work areas to support efficiency, cleanliness, and safety Follow safety protocols and collaborate with team members to prioritize work orders and meet deadlines Experience Requirements: Trade certificate or technical diploma - can be through education and experience working with live electrical equipment. Formal electrical training highly preferred 3-5 years of related experience in industrial maintenance/automation/flow control Able to read and understand electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics Actuation, instrumentation, and valve experience is preferred; detailed knowledge of actuators, especially Rotork, is an asset Proven experience in equipment maintenance, repair, or troubleshooting in a workshop or manufacturing environment Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment Working knowledge of Microsoft Office The Sucessful Candidate: Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of mechanical systems Knowledge of safety protocols and workplace compliance standards Excellent organizational and time management skills Ability to read and interpret technical documentation and schematics Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship Problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Rotork is the market-leading global flow control and instrumentation company, helping our customers manage the flow or liquids, gases and powders across many industries worldwide.
