Responsibilities

  • Review Architectural and related Site drawings/specifications for compliance with PHFA architectural design standards; deliver written comments to architects, developers, and Agency staff.

  • What you bring
  • Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Architecture (or related field) or equivalent experience.
  • 2-5 years of relevant professional experience (internships/co‑ops considered); familiarity with multifamily or similar building types; affordable housing experience a plus.
  • Working knowledge of architectural contract documents, detailing, constructability, and coordination with Site, Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing and thermal envelope systems.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail; ability to translate code/standard requirements into clear written comments.
  • Collaborative communicator who can work with architects, developers, and cross‑functional Agency teams; organized and deadline‑driven.
  • Prefer
  • 3-5 years of Experience reviewing or preparing drawings/specifications.
  • Familiarity with applicable codes and standards (e.g., IBC/IEBC, Accessibility requirements, Fair Housing requirements) and cost estimating basics.
  • Exposure to pro forma inputs, construction cost review, and change order evaluation.
