Architectural Draughtsman & BIM Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Design Development & BIM Coordination
• Prepare and develop architectural, shop, fabrication, construction, and as-built drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM platforms.
• Develop and maintain BIM models in accordance with project BIM execution plans and coordination requirements.
• Coordinate design information across architectural, structural, M&E, façade, and specialist trade disciplines.
• Participate in BIM coordination workshops, clash detection reviews, and multidisciplinary design discussions.
• Consultant Submissions & Technical Coordination
• Prepare and coordinate shop drawing submissions, technical submissions, material submissions, and method statements for consultant review and approval.
• Coordinate with architects, consultants, engineers, suppliers, and contractors to resolve technical and design-related issues.
• Track submission progress, consultant comments, and approval status to support project delivery timelines.
• Maintain drawing registers, revision records, and project documentation.
• Samples, Mock-Ups & Compliance Documentation
• Coordinate the preparation and submission of material samples, colour samples, texture samples, aggregate samples, mock-ups, and prototype panels.
• Compile compliance documentation including material certificates, test reports, technical datasheets, inspection records, warranties, and quality assurance documents.
• Support consultant reviews, mock-up presentations, and project quality requirements.
• Manufacturing & Construction Support
• Work closely with manufacturing facilities to develop production drawings, panelisation layouts, mould drawings, and fabrication details.
• Coordinate with site teams on installation drawings, technical clarifications, and construction-related revisions.
• Support the successful transition of projects from design development through fabrication and site installation.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, Building, BIM, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in architectural drafting, BIM modelling, façade, GFRC/GRC, precast, or building construction projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, and Microsoft Office.
• Familiarity with consultant submissions, technical documentation, and construction drawings.
• Good understanding of BIM workflows and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
• Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and ability to work collaboratively within a project team.
• Advantageous Experience
• Experience in GFRC/GRC, façade, cladding, precast, or specialist architectural systems.
• Experience coordinating consultant submissions, material samples, mock-ups, and approval processes.
• Familiarity with Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DfMA) methodologies.
• Experience on large-scale commercial, hospitality, transportation, aviation, infrastructure, or mixed-use developments.
