Job Description: The Assistant Superintendent is responsible for the coordination of the work of all Ryan employees, subcontractors and project management on the jobsite for completion on time and on budget. Some things you can expect to do: Administer project safety per Ryan safety policies and procedures and develop a job specific Job Safety/Hazard Analysis for their portion of work. Manage subcontractors in the performance of their work. Develop and understand a CPM computer-generated schedule and be able to track that schedule. Understand the entire construction budget and work within their portion of the budget for their work. Read and comprehend blueprints, plans and specifications in order to give proper direction to project personnel. Assist with material procurement. Work efficiently and independently. Enforce site specific Project Safety Manual. Engage in Quality Control practices. Job Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent. Pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test and subsequent random and post-accident drug and alcohol testing. Successful completion of union-required training programs, or equivalent. Problem-solving abilities. Valid documentation. Show leadership skills. Ability to make sound decisions. Must be able to remain calm during stressful situations and work through any challenges or issues that may arise. Must be able to know when to ask for help when a job task exceeds their skills or abilities. Eligibility: Position requires verification of employment to work in the U.S.
