We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Oil and Gas Revenue Reporting Accountant to join our team. This role is responsible for analyzing and recording revenue accrual and re-accrual entries with minimal supervision, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and supporting accurate and timely financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of oil and gas accounting principles, revenue recognition, and accrual methodologies. Job Responsibilities: Include but are not limited to: Analyze monthly revenue data, including production volumes and pricing, to support accrual and re-accrual processes Prepare journal entries for operated and non-operated properties Reconcile revenue accruals to actuals and investigate variances, including support for PPA analysis Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to resolve discrepancies and ensure accurate revenue reporting Prepare monthly account reconciliations Assist with the preparation of financial reporting and disclosures related to revenue Support team members as needed to meet reporting objectives Ensure all revenue reporting deadlines are met in a timely manner Perform ad hoc analysis and special projects as assigned Ensure compliance with internal controls and SOX requirements related to revenue processes Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree (BBA or BS) in Accounting or Finance Minimum of Five (5+) years of Accounting Experience, with three (3+) of those years being in Oil & Gas Accounting Advanced proficiency in Excel (e.g., XLOOKUP, SUMIF, Pivot Tables) Strong understanding of revenue accounting and general accounting principles
