Les besoins humanitaires y sont élevés, notamment en matière de protection, d'accès à l'assistance, de cohésion sociale et de participation communautaire. Dans ce contexte, l'approche de protection à base communautaire est essentielle pour garantir une réponse inclusive, renforcer la redevabilité envers les populations affectées et promouvoir des solutions durables ancrées dans les dynamiques communautaires. Profil recherché (Desired Candidate Profile) Le/La Community-Based Protection Associate recherché(e) est un(e) professionnel(le) engagé(e), capable d'évoluer dans un environnement humanitaire complexe et exigeant, avec une forte orientation terrain et communautaire. Compétences et qualités essentielles - Forte capacité de mobilisation communautaire : aptitude à travailler étroitement avec les communautés réfugiées et hôtes, y compris les leaders, les femmes, les jeunes et les groupes vulnérables. - Approche participative et inclusive : capacité à promouvoir la participation active des populations dans l'identification des risques de protection et des solutions. - Sensibilité aux enjeux de protection : bonne compréhension des problématiques liées à la protection (VBG, protection de l'enfance, accès aux droits, cohésion sociale). - Excellentes capacités de communication : aisance dans la facilitation de réunions, focus groupes et sessions de sensibilisation, avec des publics diversifiés. - Capacité d'analyse et de reporting : aptitude à collecter, analyser et restituer des informations pertinentes pour orienter la prise de décision. - Rigueur et sens de l'organisation : capacité à gérer plusieurs activités simultanément dans des délais contraints. - Travail en équipe et coordination : aptitude à collaborer efficacement avec les partenaires, autorités locales et autres secteurs humanitaires. Standard Job Description Community-Based Protection Associate Organizational Setting and Work Relationships The Community-Based Protection Associate is a member of the Protection Unit and may report to the Protection Officer, Community-Based Protection Officer, or another more senior staff member in the Protection Unit. Under the overall direction of the Protection Unit, and in coordination with other UNHCR staff, government, NGO partners and other stakeholders, the Community-Based Protection Associate works directly with communities of concern to identify the risks they face and to leverage their capacities to protect themselves, their families and communities. The incumbent may have direct supervisory responsibility for part of the protection and/or support staff and supports the application of community-based protection standards, operational procedures and practices in community-based protection delivery at the field level. To fulfil this role, the Community-Based Protection Associate is required to spend a substantial percentage of the workday outside the office, building and maintaining networks within communities of PoC. The development and maintenance of constructive relationships with PoC that measurably impact and enhance protection planning, programming and results, form the core of the work of the incumbent. S/he also supports the designing of a community-based protection strategy by ensuring that it is based on consultation with PoC.
