Concrete Laborer / Finisher

Responsibilities

• Finish concrete surfaces using hand and power tools
• Pour and spread concrete to the required thickness and consistency
• Smooth and level concrete surfaces using trowels and other tools
• Create concrete forms and frameworks as needed
• Assist in all aspects of concrete work including pouring, leveling, and finishing
• Prepare job sites by setting up forms, tools, and materials
• Load, unload, and move concrete materials, equipment, and supplies
• Clean and maintain tools, equipment, and work areas
• Follow safety protocols and wear protective gear as required
• Communicate regularly with other crew members and subcontractors to ensure that work is completed on schedule and within budget
• Develop and maintain relationships with crew members and subcontractors to ensure that they are aware of project schedules and deadlines
• Identify and resolve issues that arise during construction projects
• Assist with developing project budgets and timelines
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in concrete finishing preferred
• 1+ years of experience in concrete finishing or labor, with experience in a construction setting preferred
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of audiences
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze project data and identify trends and opportunities for improvement
