About the role
Job Scope : -Wash and clean laboratory glassware and apparatus, both manually and using machines - Perform soaking and washing of lab glassware according to designated room requirements - Wash and soak glassware/apparatus used for cigarette testing, clean ashtray, cartridge and holder -Work with diluted acids for soaking/cleaning apparatus/glassware - Perform general cleaning of centrifuge, sonicator, fume cupboards Prepare bleach dilution solutions according to lab Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) Operate simple equipment (glassware washer, autoclave, oven, Ultrapure water systems) - Perform general housekeeping (cleaning and tidying of cupboards, ovens, refrigerators, freezers) - Sweeping and mopping of floors Clear general waste, chemical, biohazard and cytotoxic waste bins - Handle and sort bulk and heavy laboratory consumables - Basic administrative duties (monitoring temperatures, dispatching reports, document handling, data entry) Monday to Friday : 08.00AM to5.30 PM Working Location : Outram
