Nursing Aide

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with their basic care needs and Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), ensuring their comfort and well-being.
• Always prioritize the comfort and safety of clients, ensuring a safe environment and immediate attention to their needs.
• Accurately document all nursing care provided to clients, maintaining clear and detailed records.
• Observe and monitor clients' physical health and overall well-being, noting any changes in condition.
• Promptly report any abnormalities or concerns regarding a client's condition.
• Ensure proper use, handling, and cleaning of medical equipment in accordance with infection control protocols.
• Any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Institute of Technical Education Skill Certificate (ISC) in Healthcare (Home care) or Workforce Skills Qualification in Healthcare Support (Nursing Care) or Certificate in Nursing (Overseas)
• Preferably possess Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification and First Aid Certification
• Preferably at least 1 to 2 years of elder care setting experience
• Able to work effectively with multi-disciplinary teams in a dynamic, fast-paced healthcare environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with clients, families, and other allied healthcare teams
• Able to work shift duties, including weekends and public holidays

Additional Information

Nursing Aide is responsible for the provision of a high standard of nursing care to clients. He/she works under the supervision of the Staff Nurse.
