Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and monthly close activities
  • Maintain and ensure accuracy of general ledger accounts, including revenue, inventory, fixed assets, accruals and prepaid balances

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance .
  • 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting.
  • Experience working within ERP systems.
  • Advanced experience in Microsoft Excel including formulas and pivot tables.
  • Public accounting experience with Big 4 or experience working in a large public company.
  • Excellent analytical skills and problem-solving ability.
  • Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, including listening, verbal, written, and presentation, with the ability to communicate effectively within various levels of the company and senior leadership.
  • Self-motivated team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has the ability to manage multiple priorities, works independently with minimal supervision, and collaborates effectively across the organization.
  • Exhibit the ability to handle sensitive matters and information with tact, diplomacy, and confidentiality.
  • Attention to detail, ability to multitask, remain organized and prioritize tasks with strict deadlines.
  • Incorporate customer-centric values and SPIRIT principles into the company's mission, vision, and core values.
  • PREFERRED:
  • CPA or progress toward CPA preferred
  • Public Accounting experience preferred

  • This job operates in a professional office environment. Largely a sedentary role with some filing requiring the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bending as necessary.

Location: On-site 4 days per week - Farmers Branch, TX (Dallas, TX) HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT: The Senior Accountant will report to the Controller and is responsible for accounting related to monthly accruals, accrued expenses, preparing various monthly reconciliations, preparation and/or review of variance analysis, preparing and recording journal entries, audit schedules, and special projects as needed. The Senior Accountant will work with other departments within the Company to ensure the books, records and reports are accurate and reported in a timely manner.
