We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Commerce Capability Growth , EMEA, to drive adoption and bolter sales revenue for VML, build broader client engagements, and advance the adoption of connected commerce capabilities across our region. This role will be pivotal in shaping and delivering the vision for connected brands through VML, with a focus on capability building, collaboration, and market enablement to achieve transformative growth.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Growth Planning and Execution:
- Own the strategy and execution for organic growth opportunities across EMEA, driving 10% year-on-year (YoY) growth with our top 12 clients through enhanced capabilities and market enablement.
- Lead the development of our marketplace offer
- Support the acceleration of the top 5 markets in EMEA, and oversee the community of practice.
- Achieve an additional 10% YoY growth across EMEA by supporting clients on pitches and expanding capabilities.
- Building Bigger, Broader Client Engagements:
- Foster deep client relationships, focusing on delivering value for our top 12 clients.
- Drive broader adoption of new commerce capabilities, integrating them into connected brand strategies to unlock growth opportunities.
- Relaunch and Grow Marketplaces:
- Relaunch and streamline the marketplace offering in EMEA, targeting 40% growth in revenue and a 20% increase in profitability, with a focus on DE and UK markets.
- Generate $6M in additional marketplace revenue in 2025 across content, retail media, retail readiness, consulting, and dashboarding.
- Lead all pitches and growth - both insider and outside WPP / VML.
- Simplify the offer and refine the sales narrative to accelerate market adoption and client engagement.
- Community of Practice Development:
- Build a best-in-class, consistent practice across EMEA by the end of 2025, establishing a clear offer with no additional cost.
- Create a thriving community of practice across the region, hosting monthly and quarterly forums for collaboration and knowledge sharing.
- Sales Enablement and Collaboration:
- Lead cross-functional collaboration across VML's Commerce Studio and broader capabilities to drive innovation and seamless integration.
- Enable teams with sales tools, resources, and training to support client acquisition and growth strategies.
- Guide client teams on pitches, growth strategies, and the adoption of enhanced capabilities to unlock new revenue streams.
- Client and Market Leadership:
- Act as a growth leader for Commerce in EMEA, driving strategic engagements with organic clients while leading expansion into new client opportunities.
