Salary: Full time starting salary is normally in the range £33,002 to £35,608 with potential progression once in post to £39,906 Brief Job Description: The Employability Support Officer will support the delivery of high-quality employability services for Birmingham Business School students. The role involves providing front-line guidance, supporting events and activities, and delivering administrative and operational support across key employability programmes. The postholder will engage with students, academic colleagues and employers, contributing to a responsive, inclusive and professional service that enhances student outcomes and experience. The role also supports evaluation activities and continuous service improvement in line with the University's strategic priorities. Person Specification: We are seeking a proactive and organised individual with experience in a student-facing, customer service or administrative role. You will have strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage a diverse student population and manage competing priorities in a busy environment. You will be confident using digital systems, including Microsoft 365, and committed to delivering a high-quality, inclusive service. Experience of working in higher education, employability or careers settings, supporting events or delivering workshops, and an understanding of recruitment practices are desirable.
