About the role

You will serve as an EQUAL EMPLOYMENT SPECIALIST in the BUSINESS DIRECTORATE OF THE NAVAL FACILITIES ENGINEERING COMMAND, NORFOLK, VA of CIVILIAN PERS SUPPORT STAFF. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Counsels employees and applicants who believe they have been discriminated against; 2) Manages the Formal EEO program and fosters an environment that administers all resources in a manner that instills public trust while accomplishing the mission; 3) Develops policies and procedures for the overall EEO program which includes EEO counseling, complaints administration, and related training services; 4) Determines objectives, sets priorities, and ensure sound management processes and procedures are in place; 5) Demonstrates ability to clearly and effectively articulate, present, and promote varied ideas and issues before a wide range of audiences; and 6) Conveys written information in a clear, concise, organized, and convincing manner, using correct English grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
