Job Description The National University of Singapore (NUS) invites applications for a postdoctoral Research Fellow position under the supervision of Asst Prof Meng Xin from the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. The successful applicant will lead the design and verification of a novel modular long-span structural system and contribute to constructional metal 3D printing research in the later stage of the project. The Research Fellow is expected to: - Propose conceptual structural systems for modular long-span transfer slab/truss assemblies. - Analyse structural performance under static loading, vibration, and elevated temperatures. - Assess productivity, constructability, and carbon footprint of novel structural system. - Finite element analysis of composite structural systems and joints. - Contribute to metal 3D printing research and its effective use in construction. Job Requirements Essential: - Possess a PhD in Civil and Structural Engineering. - A strong portfolio of research and publications related to structural engineering, especially on structural system analysis and finite element modelling. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
