About the Position: This position is in the Patient Administration Department in a Medical Treatment Facility (MTF). The primary function of this position is to provide guidance and functional expertise to improve coding accuracy. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: One-year specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 grade level in the Federal Service in providing expert guidance and functional support to coding staff by applying federal coding regulations and official guidelines to ensure accurate, compliant, and high-quality medical coding across services.
