Responsibilities

  • Volunteer Management and Community Outreach
  • Understand the local volunteering landscape, identify gaps and opportunities, coordinate and collaborate with community partners to meet local needs through sustainable and effective partnerships.
  • Engage local stakeholders, such as grassroots, schools, corporations, social service agencies, community groups, and public agencies, for outreach and matching of volunteering needs and opportunities.
  • Develop strategy and operational plans for marketing partners' programmes and volunteering opportunities for community partners to volunteer groups.
  • Follow up on volunteers' enquiries and match volunteers to community partners needing volunteers.
  • Share and promote effective volunteer management practices, including recruitment, training, deployment, reward, retention and recognition with community partners.
  • Manage and maintain records of volunteer groups, partnerships, and initiatives, as well as other administrative documentation, to build a repository of community resources within the town.
  • Job Requirements:
  • Degree in any discipline
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
  • Resourceful with strong written and communication skills
  • Good analytical and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and support overlapping projects.
  • Possess strong work ethic, initiative, and a process-improvement mindset
  • Hands-on and self-motivated team player
  • Experience in a non-profit or social service environment is an advantage
