About the role

As the Senior Manager, Human Rights Due Diligence, your focus will be on risk management within Mattel's Worldwide Operations. What Your Impact Will Be: Lead Human Rights Impact Assessments (HRIAs) and associated due diligence activities, particularly those driven by emerging regulatory requirements Analyze human rights data to identify trends, assess risks, and uncover opportunities for improvement Collaborate effectively with Mattel business units, corporate functions globally, third-party service providers, and production factories/facilities Drive program enhancements and measurable process improvements by working proactively with cross-functional teams Represent Mattel and engage in relevant partnerships with industry associations and multi-stakeholder initiatives Develop, refine, and manage project management processes, prioritizing the use of technology and automation for efficiency Develop and manage reporting mechanisms on program status, risks, and impact Mattel is a leading global toy and family entertainment company and owner of one of the most iconic brand portfolios in the world. Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in compliance, audit, risk management, or a related field with a focus on social and/or human rights issues
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment and make timely decisions in complex situations
  • Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent
  • Experience leveraging technology to drive process improvements
  • Master's degree in a relevant field
  • Extensive senior-level experience managing programs related to human rights, labor rights, responsible sourcing, multi-stakeholder initiatives, international development, or corporate social responsibility (CSR)
  • Proficiency in multiple languages (bilingual or multilingual capability is a strong asset)
