About the role

As a Team Lead/Head of Special Sales , you will own Westwing's most impactful commercial moments across all our markets. Leading a team of 3, you will combine commercial thinking, analytical rigor, and a strong sense for brands, design, and customer experience. You will drive the strategy, planning, and execution of major sales events such as Black Friday or Westwing Collection Days, alongside projects like the Westwing Advent Calendar and inventory sell-off initiatives - ensuring strong performance while protecting and elevating the brand. In this highly cross-functional role, you collaborate with Buying, Sales, Pricing, Supply Chain, Marketing, CRM, Creative, and Tech teams to deliver best-in-class sales events that drive growth, optimise inventory, and inspire our customers. This position is unlimited and based in Munich . Own the end-to-end strategy, planning, execution, and commercial results of Westwing's major commercial events, including Black Friday, We stwing Collection Days, Advent Calendar, and other peak trading moments, as well as define event concepts, customer journeys, pricing approaches, and commercial frameworks in clo se collaboration with key stakeholders across the business Develop and execute inventory monetisation and sell-off strategies, balancing commercial performance, inventory health, and brand positioning while partnering closely with Buying, Pricing, Supply Chain, Marketing, CRM, Creative, and Retail Campaigns teams to ensure seamless execution across all markets Identify growth opportunities through commercial analysis, customer insights, and performance data, translating findings into actionable business initiatives and utilising AI and automation where applicable Monitor business performance and KPIs, proactively identifying risks and opportunities, and steering corrective actions when needed Drive continuous improvement of tools, processes, and planning frameworks to increase scalability and operational excellence Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing Special Sales team, fostering ownership, collaboration, and strong commercial thinking Act as a key contributor to Westwing's commercial strategy by bringing together data, customer understanding, and brand intuition 7+ years of experience in commercial, category management, sales, retail, e-commerce, consulting, or a related business function, including leadership experience paired with experience developing high-performing teams in a fast-paced environment Strong commercial acumen and outstanding analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear business decisions and growth opportunities, alongside an ability to balance commercial objectives with brand considerations and long-term customer value Proven track record of driving commercial initiatives, peak sales events, or strategic business projects with measurable impact, driven by an entrepreneurial mindset, hands-on execution skills, and a strong sense of ownership Strong project management and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to align diverse teams around a common objective, backed by excellent communication and presentation skills Deep understanding of premium home & living customers, design brands, and interior trends, paired with a strong aesthetic eye and a clear point of view on what creates a compelling customer experience Ability to identify winning product assortments, challenge creative concepts and visual merchandising approaches, and ensure every sales event combines commercial performance with an inspiring, design-led presentation that resonates with our target audience Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus If you are looking for a place where ambition meets creativity, where ideas turn into impact fast, and where people are trusted to grow - you have found it.
