Adult Neuro Rehab Speech and Language Therapist

Responsibilities

• In this role, you will:
• Assess, diagnose, and manage adults with speech, language, communication, and swallowing difficulties associated with neurological conditions, including ABI and TBI.
• Deliver individualised, evidence-based therapy programmes aimed at improving functional communication and independence.
• Contribute to the planning and delivery of active rehabilitation programmes in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
• Support patients in achieving personal goals related to communication, cognition, and safe swallowing.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical records in line with professional and organisational standards.
• Participate in team meetings, case discussions, and service development initiatives.
• Qualifications and Experience
• To be considered for this role, you must have:
• A recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent).
• Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
• Eligibility for membership with the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT).
• Experience working with adults with neurological conditions, including ABI/TBI (essential for Band 7 applicants).
• Strong clinical reasoning and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a patient-centred approach.

This service is dedicated to delivering high-quality, person-centred care, with a focus on maximising independence, autonomy, and quality of life. You will be working as part of a multidisciplinary team in a supportive and collaborative environment, delivering tailored rehabilitation programmes to meet complex communication and swallowing needs. This role is suitable for an experienced Band 6 therapist looking to develop their skills further, or a Band 7 clinician with established experience in neurorehabilitation.
