Responsibilities
- Mechanical Design for Spacecraft Avionics: Design and develop spacecraft avionics assemblies using SolidWorks 3D CAD software. Produce dimensioned and annotated drawings of piece parts and assemblies per ASME Y14.5.

- Core Qualifications (Must-Have)
- 2-7 years in a Mechanical Engineering role with emphasis on design and/or structural analysis.
- Proficiency in 3D CAD design software (SolidWorks preferred).
- Practical experience designing mechanical parts and assemblies.
- Experience with closed-form or finite element analysis of mechanical assemblies (thermal and structural).
- Strong ability to communicate ideas and results verbally and written.
- Preferred Qualifications (We Will Train Where Needed)
- Familiarity with spacecraft hardware and requirements.
- Experience with electronics packaging and design.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks 3D design software.
- Proficiency in Finite Element Analysis (ANSYS preferred).
- Understanding of Steinberg fatigue analysis of PCB assemblies.
- Experience in Teamcenter PLM software.
- Experience with random vibration, shock, and thermal vacuum requirements and testing. Previous support of environmental testing a plus.
