Responsibilities

  • You'll have the opportunity to develop your leadership skills as you manage the technical delivery of one or more software engineering teams, overseeing the quality of their work and making sure it meets the required technical standards.

  • You'll come with a background in software engineering, software or database design and architecture, as well as significant experience developing software within an SOA or microservices paradigm.
  • Along with development experience in one or more programming languages, you'll bring an excellent understanding of implementing programming best practice, especially around scalability, availability and performance.
  • You'll also need:
  • At least 10 years in l eading architecture and delivery of Treasury and Financial-Markets systems, with deep expertise in financial markets, market data (pricing, reference, real-time feeds), and risk domains, ensuring solutions meet both functional and regulatory requirements
  • Expereince of o wning end-to-end technical strategy for cloud-native platforms on AWS, designing scalable, resilient, and secure solutions using best practices across compute, data, and integration services
  • Experience of test-driven development and using automated test frameworks, mocking and stubbing and unit testing tools
  • A background in trt anslating complex business and risk requirements into robust technical designs, driving high-performance systems that support trading, analytics, and risk management workflows
  • Experience of supporting, modifying and maintaining systems and code developed by teams other than your own
  • H ands-on technical leadership across engineering teams, mentoring engineers and enforcing engineering excellence in distributed systems, data pipelines, and real-time processing
