The IT Business Systems Sr/Consultant will act as a liaison between our IT and business units to ensure an understanding of business requirements when designing and implementing new IT systems and improving existing systems! Responsibilities/Expectations: Acts as a liaison between the IT development group and business units for the development and implementation of new systems and improvement of existing systems; evaluates, designs and implements new application systems, developing technical requirements following standards for software development lifecycle Serves as subject matter specialist and business partner between our IT Application and Infrastructure team(s) and business/end-user team(s) Creates annual budget analysis and cost management for responsible application including projects, ongoing maintenance, support and licensing Translates business requirements into technical specifications to formulate technical solutions that conform to standard methodologies; conducts requirements gathering, user acceptance testing; makes recommendations based on information collected Ensures maintenance, development and improvement of existing application systems meet the organizational business objectives and IT standards Conducts business process analyses, needs assessments and preliminary cost/benefit analyses in an effort to align IT solutions with business initiatives Identifies and implements continuous improvement opportunities for cost reduction, avoidance and improved application performance Advises, consults, interacts and resolves issues with other IT support teams including Applications, Infrastructure, and outsourcing provider Modernizes, upgrades and conducts application health checks as the need arises to ensure system stability Works with assigned resources to run project-related activities for assigned applications Prepares recurring application dashboard metrics and reports to show analysis on specific key data points and provides cost transparency for applications Other duties as assigned Education/Years of Experience: Required: High school diploma or GED and a minimum eighteen (18) years' IT experience, OR Associate's degree and a minimum twelve (12) years' IT experience, OR Bachelor's degree in IT-related field and a minimum ten (10) years' IT experience Other Requirements: Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and PC skills Preferred: Experience with PowerOptix Preferred: Familiarity with MV90 systems and exposure to metering data management #LI-CT1 About Tulsa: Our corporate headquarters is located in downtown Tulsa, Oklahoma, the 2nd largest city in Oklahoma and the 47th most populous in the U.S. Tulsa is known as the Mother of "The Mother Road" - Route 66, and boasts impressive art deco architecture, the #1 city park in the U.S. (The Gathering Place) and is a great venue for live music.
