About the role
We're looking for a Fraud & Security Specialist to protect Sent's platform and the businesses that rely on it. You'll monitor for abuse, investigate suspicious activity, and help build the systems and processes that keep bad actors out.
Responsibilities
- Monitor for abuse. Review platform activity for suspicious patterns - unusual traffic, suspected fraud, policy violations. Act fast when something looks wrong.
- Investigate incidents. Dig into flagged accounts, analyze message flows, and determine whether activity is malicious. Document your findings clearly.
- Build and improve detection. Work with engineering to define signals, improve monitoring, and reduce false positives over time.
- Manage escalations. Triage incidents by severity, escalate appropriately, and coordinate responses when things are serious.
- Develop internal frameworks. Write policies, runbooks, and risk playbooks that make the team faster and more consistent.
Requirements
- 3+ years in fraud prevention, risk operations, trust & safety, or security. You know what abuse looks like and you know how to respond.
- Strong analytical mindset. You work through ambiguous situations, identify patterns in data, and reach defensible conclusions.
- Attention to detail. You're thorough. You don't cut corners when it matters.
- Familiarity with platform security practices and operational controls. You understand how modern platforms are abused and what good controls look like.
- Experience in messaging, fintech, telecom, or compliance-driven environments is a strong advantage.
