Responsibilities of the Career-Based Intervention (CBI) Teacher & Coordinator include: Develop and deliver engaging career readiness, employability skills, financial literacy, and leadership lessons aligned to Ohio Career-Based Intervention standards. Create and implement individualized student success plans that support academic achievement, career exploration, attendance, and positive behavior. Differentiate instruction and interventions to meet the unique academic, social-emotional, and career development needs of students. Maintain accurate and complete records of student progress, interventions, career plans, and required program documentation. Utilize research-based instructional strategies and restorative practices to increase student engagement and success. Build strong mentoring relationships with students while promoting self-advocacy, goal setting, and personal responsibility. Collaborate with classroom teachers, intervention specialists, counselors, administrators, and families to support student growth. Coordinate career exploration activities, including career assessments, guest speakers, college and career awareness events, workplace visits, and community partnerships. Connect students with school and community resources that support academic and personal success. Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress, attendance, behavior, and career planning. Support school-wide MTSS, PBIS, attendance, and student intervention initiatives. Incorporate technology into instruction and career planning activities to enhance student learning. Participate in the planning and implementation of school events, family engagement activities, and professional development opportunities. Ensure compliance with Ohio Department of Education Career-Based Intervention program requirements. Collaborate and communicate effectively with colleagues and community partners. Perform other duties as assigned. About You: Active and current State of Ohio teaching license. Career-Based Intervention (CBI) endorsement or willingness to obtain the endorsement. Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field. Experience working with middle school students, particularly students identified as academically or behaviorally at risk, preferred. Knowledge of career readiness, workforce development, and college and career planning. High level of comfort working in a growth-focused coaching environment based on frequent observations, debriefs, action planning, and progress monitoring. Excellent written, verbal, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to build strong, supportive relationships with students and families. Ability to properly manage confidential information. Experience using student data to drive instructional and intervention decisions. Able to supervise students in a variety of school and community settings. Ability to pass federal and state criminal background checks. Experience working within an urban environment preferred. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. The salary range for this position is $48,000 - 57,500. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.Li
