In this role, responsibilities include providing administrative and clerical support to the Imaging Department, managing phone inquiries, maintaining electronic patient records, and ensuring accurate document indexing within PACS and other imaging systems. The position also supports image sharing for referring providers, monitors department supply inventory, performs quality control reviews of imported records, and assists with patient care tasks such as splint or cast removal when needed to help ensure efficient day-to-day operations. A Day in the Life Answer the x-ray department's phone and responds to and processes information requests; Perform routine clerical and support functions under the direction of the Imaging Manager to ensure smooth and effective day-to-day operations; Maintain patient records in an electronic format by moving, copying, and deleting under the direction of the Imaging Manager in the picture archiving and communication system (PACS); Perform quality control review on imported record images and verifies accurate indexing of medical record documents; Utilize the cloud-based imaging sharing system for incoming and outgoing image sharing for referring physicians; Monitor and maintain an adequate inventory of all office supplies and materials for the department; Use electronic medical records and imaging systems; Remove a splint or cast from a patient if needed. Certifications/Education High School Diploma/GED; Knowledge of customer services principles and practices. Experience Using computer systems and applications, including entering data and typing.
