The Pharmacy Clerk is responsible for placing of surgical and ethical orders via appropriate method according to Netcare Stock Management Policy The Pharmacy Clerk is responsible for placing of surgical and ethical orders via appropriate method according to Netcare Stock Management Policy RELATIONSHIPS Key internal relationships Pharmacy staff and Hospital Staff Key external relationships Patients, Customers KEY WORK OUTPUT AND ACCOUNTABILITIES OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE - Effective application of Netcare policy for approved and standardized suppliers - Tracking of stock with suppliers/couriers to ensure timeous receipt of product - Management and liaison of back order situations - Manage associated administrative tasks - Effectively communicate to assist stock controllers, pharmacy clerks and pharmacists with regards to ethical and surgical stock - Assist in management of stock in accordance to Netcare Stock Management policy with special emphasis on designated stock areas - Involved in all aspects of cyclical and full stock take processes - Liaising with surgical and ethical product reps - Arranging in-services for ethical and surgical products GROWING WITH PASSIONATE PEOPLE Teamwork Actively participate as a member of a team to achieve goals Communicate effectively to assist other team players Personal and professional development Active involvement in own professional development to maintain a satisfactory level of skill and knowledge Keep up to date with Netcare's evolving policies and procedures Build and maintain stakeholder relationships Work effectively and co-operatively with others to establish and maintain good working relationships that are mutually beneficial SKILLS PROFILE EDUCATION Essential Grade 12 or equivalent NQF 4 certificate WORK EXPERIENCE Preferred Experience in medical environment Experience and knowledge of Surgical and Ethical stock products Intermediate computer literacy PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS In the event of any physical or psychological limitation that may impair the employee's ability to perform the required job function, the employee must consult the employer for reasonable accommodation.
