Job Description Summary The Industrial Engineer will drive process optimization and productivity improvement initiatives across the Ultrasound Probes & Consoles and Patient Care Solutions manufacturing operations at the Bengaluru site. This role focuses on optimizing manufacturing layouts, improving material and process flow, reducing waste, enhancing ergonomics, and increasing operational efficiency through Lean Manufacturing and Industrial Engineering principles. The successful candidate will lead value stream mapping, cycle time and method studies, line balancing, and continuous improvement initiatives to deliver measurable improvements in productivity, lead time, cost, and overall manufacturing performance while supporting Greenfield and Brownfield manufacturing projects. Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Analyze existing manufacturing operations to identify opportunities for process optimization, productivity improvement, and waste elimination. Conduct Value Stream Mapping (VSM), cycle time studies, method studies, and work measurement (MTM) to improve manufacturing performance. Optimize manufacturing layouts, material flow, workstation design, and line balancing to enhance operational efficiency and reduce lead time. Lead Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives using Lean tools and Kaizen methodologies. Drive projects focused on improving productivity, reducing manufacturing costs, and eliminating non-value-added activities. Implement ergonomic improvements to enhance workplace safety, operator comfort, and manufacturing efficiency. Monitor manufacturing performance metrics and recommend sustainable process improvements based on data analysis. Support Greenfield and Brownfield manufacturing projects through layout planning and process optimization. Collaborate with production, quality, supply chain, and cross-functional teams to implement and sustain operational excellence initiatives. Ensure all improvement initiatives are executed in compliance with applicable quality, safety, and environmental standards. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering . 3+ years of experience as an Industrial Engineer in a manufacturing environment. Hands-on experience in: Lean Manufacturing, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Cycle Time Studies, Method Studies / Work Measurement, Layout Optimization, Line Balancing, Productivity Improvement Projects, Continuous Improvement / Kaizen Experience supporting Greenfield and Brownfield manufacturing projects . Knowledge of ergonomic assessments and workplace improvement initiatives . Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify improvement opportunities using data-driven approaches. Effective communication and collaboration skills to work across cross-functional manufacturing teams. Desired Characteristics Experience in automotive or other large-scale manufacturing organizations. Exposure to Method-Time Measurement (MTM) . Experience working in a unionized manufacturing environment. Demonstrated success in delivering measurable productivity improvements, lead time reduction, waste elimination, and cost optimization projects. Familiarity with Six Sigma methodologies and statistical analysis tools is an added advantage.
