About the role

The Group Sales Coordinator is responsible for performing daily tasks that assist the Sales Office and Group Sales team in alignment with the department's long term goals and objectives. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Provide excellent customer service to our clients and their guests, third party and direct bookings. Accurately source leads, RFPs, meeting planner questions and reservation inquiries. Be available to speak to clients on behalf of the Sales Manager in their absence. Be able to create basic proposals, contracts, site alerts and other sales documents. Make sure that sales collateral is refreshed and stocked accordingly. Assist with amenities and welcome note cards. Work with Reservations, Guest Relations, Front Desk, and Conference Services to ensure guest needs are met. Maintain visibility and integrity of our department throughout the resort promoting mutual cooperation in assuring our clients are delivered the service as promised. Develop a trusting and long term relationship with our accounts. Assist with group leads in the absence of the Sales Manager when out of office or traveling. Assist in the preparation for travel, tradeshows and site visits.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Two years' experience in customer service in a hotel environment.
  • Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
  • Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process.
  • Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to communicate customer needs and resolve complaints independently.
  • Ability to establish and master goals.
  • Ability to identify and assist in the development of accounts.
  • Ability to act independently with minimal or no supervision.
  • Must possess basic computational ability.
  • Must possess computer skills, including, but not limited to, accounting programs, Microsoft Word, Excel and Delphi.
  • Knowledgeable in Opera and Delphi.
  • Self-motivated, team oriented, proactive.
  • Math skills, as well as budgetary analysis capabilities encouraged.
