Safety and Occupational Health Manager

About the role

You will serve as a SAFETY AND OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH MANAGER at the Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-12) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Analyzing mishap trends and other safety data, conducting inspections, and reviewing subordinate command self-assessments; 2) Establishing required correction actions to reduce mishaps; 3) Researching and providing advice on recommendations to correct, eliminate, or better control hazards associated with a broad range or work processes, equipment operations, and protective devices in order to minimize injury to personnel; 3) Interpreting and applying safety and occupational health laws, regulations, principles, standards, procedures, and abatement measures to manage an Occupational Health Program; and 4) Planning organizing, directing, executing, and evaluating a comprehensive safety program.
