About the role
You will serve as a SUPERVISORY IT SPECIALIST (POLICY PLANNING) within NAVAL SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT ACTIVITY. This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Directing programs responsible for developing IT strategic direction and plans to enable and facilitate Enterprise business and mission objectives. 2) Serving as the technical advisor for the introduction of new or enhanced technologies/information systems into the Command by performing analysis of COTS and GOTS products that will provide solutions to business and mission requirements. 3) Developing governance policies, procedures and technical aspects for the efficient operation of IT systems and applications.
