The Assistant Director reports to the Senior Associate Director of Career Education and supports the Center's mission to provide effective educational programs and services to advise diverse students and alumni with their career planning and professional development. Position Title: Assistant Director - Career Center Pay Status and Classification: Exempt, Regular Full-time Supervisor: Senior Associate Director of Career Education Position Purpose: The Assistant Director reports to the Senior Associate Director of Career Education and supports the Center's mission to provide effective educational programs and services to advise diverse students and alumni with their career planning and professional development. Provide effective career advising through individual appointments with diverse students and alumni. Collaborate with members of the campus community to develop and implement career education programming. Engage alumni and students in career education programming. Essential Responsibilities and Duties: Career Advising : Provides career advising to undergraduate students and alumni on all aspects of career planning, internship and employment/graduate school preparation. Provides individual and group instruction on various platforms and databases to be utilized by students for career exploration, networking, and internship/job search. Collaboration: Works closely with employer relations team to support and promote employer and alumni engagement, consortia events, career fairs and other programming. Collaborates with on-campus constituents to provide career readiness and professional development opportunities for students across campus. Program Development and Training: Designs, coordinates, and presents career readiness workshops and programs that address the needs of students across all four years. Evaluates effectiveness of programs/resources/technology and reports career education outcomes. Administration: Utilizes Handshake and Nexus platforms for student engagement management and supports content creation and management for UReady curriculum. Supervises career assistants to support assigned project work. Pitches in to assist colleagues as needed.
