Murex Back Office Consultant (MxML)

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement data transformation logic to convert upstream source data into Murex-compatible MxML formats
• Design and manage inbound and outbound data workflows using MxML Exchange
• Prepare detailed functional and technical documentation, along with corresponding test cases for system integrations
• Monitor and generate error and exception reports to track processing issues
• Configure and develop Murex reporting solutions to support interface requirements
• Extend MxML Exchange capabilities by creating custom processing tasks where standard functionalities are insufficient
• Core Requirements:
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with Murex MX.3, specifically in MxML, Back Office processing, confirmations, and settlements
• Strong scripting skills in Unix/Linux environments along with solid SQL knowledge
• Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
• Translate business requirements into comprehensive technical design documents
• Execute development tasks aligned with approved technical specifications
• Take ownership of unit testing to ensure high-quality deliverables
• Familiarity with Agile delivery frameworks and tools such as JIRA and Confluence
• Provide support during SIT and UAT cycles, including defect resolution
• Handle post-production issues and ensure smooth transition to BAU support teams
• Maintain thorough documentation in line with internal standards and governance
• Adhere to established delivery and compliance processes defined by the client
• Preferred Skills:
• Working knowledge of the end-to-end trade lifecycle
