Or Experience: Experience in maintaining, retailing, purchasing, or procurement of automotive, rail, air, bus, or other transportation equipment or services, or in the operation of a commercial transportation facility or terminal. This experience must have demonstrated knowledge of fleet operations; familiarity with Federal, State, and municipal regulations governing the use of transportation vehicles; and the maintenance of inventories and cost computations. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE is experience which is directly related to the position to be filled and which has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of this position. GS-12 - Must have at least 1-year specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade. Experience, education, or training performing, administering, or supervising technical and analytical work concerned with planning, development and execution of traffic policies and programs. Experience interpreting applicable Federal, State, and local laws, and regulations concerning transportation and traffic procedures. Knowledge of transportation requirements and systems for specific geographic areas (International and Continental United States). Plans the work to be accomplished by subordinate civilian personnel; sets and adjust short-term priorities, and prepare schedules for completion of work; assigns work to subordinates based on priorities, selective consideration of the difficulty, requirements of assignments, and the capabilities of employees. Assesses airfield mission requirements, establishes command goals, and makes decisions on how to accomplish objectives. Maintains status on the availability of airfield equipment and facilities required in support of the mission to include buildings, grounds, and the assignment of office space, hangars, and parking ramps to tenant units and other DOD entities. Experience managing airfield operations and services, including flight planning, flight data processing, Notices to Airmen (NOTAMS), scheduling, customer service, aircraft fueling requirements, maintenance of transient aircraft, and ensuring the airfield meets all required DOD/DOT regulations, laws and environmental standards. Coordinates the scheduling of airfield activities with tenant and transient unit commands using the airfield, and coordinates with the Corps of Engineers and Directorate of Public Works or Construction and Facilities Management Officer concerning problems with facilities including long-range construction plans for the airfield. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Resume must have complete dates and hours worked per week for each occurrence of both civilian and military employment (Example: 2 JAN 1980 to 3 MAR 1981; 0800-1630 M-F or JAN 1980 to MAR 1981; 40 hrs/wk) Use of year only will result in disqualification.
