Responsibilities

  • Family & Community Engagement
  • Build and maintain relationships with community organizations, local partners, and stakeholders to expand awareness of Uncommon Schools
  • Lead outreach efforts including community events, canvassing, tabling, and information sessions

  • Manage projects related to outreach systems, communication practices, and family engagement efforts
  • Coordinate timelines, materials, and follow-up activities to keep projects moving forward
  • Build systems and documentation that improve consistency and effectiveness across enrollment work
  • Operations, Data & Systems
  • Develop expertise in enrollment systems and CRM platforms, including Salesforce and SchoolMint
  • Maintain enrollment-related records, invoices, and financial documentation
  • Analyze outreach and enrollment data to support decision making
  • Use technology and reporting tools to organize work and improve processes
  • Required
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in enrollment, admissions, community outreach, customer service, education, operations, project coordination, or similar work
  • Experience using Google Workspace and Canva required
  • Comfort learning and using systems or databases; experience with CRM platforms or SchoolMint preferred
  • Ability to organize projects, manage outreach efforts, and maintain accurate records
  • Experience building relationships with families, community organizations, or external partners preferred
  • Additional Preferences
  • Experience in K-12 education, nonprofits, community engagement, recruitment, or family-facing work
  • Experience supporting events, outreach campaigns, or projects from planning through execution
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or similar systems preferred
  • Physical & Travel Requirements
  • Regular travel within the Boston area for schools, community events, and outreach activities; access to a car is recommended
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift or move materials up to 20-40 pounds during events and outreach activities

Compensation determinations consider relevant professional experience and tenure with Uncommon Schools.
