Respiratory Therapist

Responsibilities

• As a Respiratory Therapist at Baystate, you'll evaluate, treat, and monitor patients with cardiopulmonary conditions under physician direction while serving as a key member of the care team. Responsibilities include:
• Managing airways and ventilators across varying levels of acuity
• Performing diagnostic testing and interpreting results
• Administering respiratory therapies and pulmonary care modalities
• Participating in emergency response and critical care interventions
• Educating patients and families on treatment plans and disease management
• Supporting discharge planning and chronic disease management initiatives

• What You Bring
• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Care Program (Associate's degree required)
• Massachusetts Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) eligible or licensed
• Current CPR certification (ACLS preferred)
• Strong critical thinking, communication, and patient-centered care skills
• Experience in acute care, critical care, NICU, PICU, or emergency response environments preferred
