Job Title Executive Director - Associate Chief of Pharmacy, Main Campus Location Cleveland Facility Cleveland Clinic Main Campus Department Inpatient Pharmacy-Pharmacy Job Code T97812 Shift Days Schedule 7:00am-5:00pm Job Summary Job Details Cleveland Clinic is seeking a strategic, mission-driven Executive Director, Associate Chief of Pharmacy for Main Campus . This leader will oversee pharmacy operations and directly manage five pharmacies and also collaborate with infusion and retail sites to ensure alignment with our mission to care for life, research for health, and educate those who serve. In collaboration with the Senior Vice President Chief of Pharmacy, this role is responsible for providing operational and clinical management, vision and direction to promote the strategic goals of the Pharmacy Enterprise and Cleveland Clinic. This leader is r esponsible for quality, patient safety, employee productivity, innovation, patient experience , and financial targets while ensuring compliance with organizational standards and state and federal requirements. A caregiver in this role works Monday-Friday on-site at our Cleveland Clinic Main Campus, with minimal travel required A careg iver who excels in this role will: Assists in implementing growth business/marketing plans. Plans, implements, and directs Pharmacy operations based on accepted standards of professional practice and state and federal laws. Oversees activities regarding procurement, distribution, monitoring, and utilization of pharmaceuticals in all patient care settings . Ensures the development and provision of exemplary pharmaceutical care. Ensures the Pharmacy Enterprise meets key operational targets and regulatory requirements. Leads team to ensure goals are met and deploys initiatives to achieve as needed. Identifies performance improvement opportunities across service lines and partners to translate into realized efficiencies. Ensures patient experience achieves desired benchmarks for outstanding service. Optimizes employee experience to retain an engaged workforce focused on patient experience. Recruits, supports and develops exemplary management, clinical and technical staff. Through coaching and mentoring, provides ongoing performance feedback to assigned employees. Communicates a strong service management philosophy and develops programs and supports the staff to follow this philosophy. Demonstrated track record of quickly establishing trusting and credible relationships with physicians, researchers/scientists, educators, clinical, administrative and community stakeholders Provides direction to the finance team supporting pharmacy with oversight of overall budget performance including capital and operating budgets, strategic capital requests and service line performance. Monitors national and international trends and forecasts to develop priorities aimed towards growth objectives . Keeps abreast of new procedures and developments and recommends and implements new concepts or changes. Other duties as assigned. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: Bachelor's degree in pharmacy Advanced degree in Pharmacy (Master of Science/Pharm D) or master's in business administration . A minimum of 15 years leadership experience may offset the advanced degree requirement A minimum of eight years of progressively more responsible clinical and pharmacy management experience. Current State licensure as a Registered Pharmacist (RPh) or eligible for reciprocation in current State within 90 days of hire. Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: Experience as a clinical and administrative leader in a large tertiary care medical center, preferably as part of an integrated health care system preferred. Experience in the entire continuum of care ( e.g. inpatient, pharmacy benefit management, etc.) is desirable.
