This position is in the Office of Enforcement and Compliance Assurance (OECA), Office of Program Management Operations, Budget and Finance Management Division. About: OECA This is an office-centered position--you must physically report to the duty station stated in this announcement on a regular basis. NOTE: You must meet qualification requirements by the closing date of this announcement. To qualify for the GS-15 level, you must have 1 year of full-time* specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-14 level defined as analyzing financial management and operational aspects of a program; providing recommendations to senior management and other personnel about financial management issues, programs, and/or policies; and providing expertise to develop and interpret guidance relating to budget formulation and administration. You will need the following competencies in order to perform the duties of this position successfully: Budget and Cost Management* Capital Planning and Investment Assessment Critical Thinking Performance Measurement Strategic Thinking Written Communication* Financial Management and Analysis Problem Solving Decision Making Planning and Evaluating* *You will be evaluated on these critical competencies. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
