We are seeking an experienced and collaborative leader to join our Education Portfolio as Manager, Education Support (Sydney Medical School). In this pivotal role, you will provide strategic and operational leadership to education support teams across the Sydney Medical Program, ensuring the seamless delivery of medical education across campus and clinical school environments. Working closely with the Director, Sydney Medical Program and senior academic stakeholders, you will lead service delivery, drive continuous improvement initiatives, support curriculum implementation, and contribute to strategic planning that enhances the student and staff experience. You will oversee education support services across: Central Clinical School Children's Hospital Westmead Clinical School Concord Clinical School Nepean Clinical School Northern Clinical School Westmead Clinical School T here is a requirement for this position to be on-site a minimum of 4 days a week, with the possibility of 1 day a week hybrid working. Hybrid working options will be decided with your manager if you are successful in this position . Please note that these roles are not open to current University of Sydney students . Whilst predominantly based at Camperdown, the role requires travel to locations in the Greater Sydney region. Y our key responsibilities will be to : provide strategic advice and operational leadership to support the successful delivery of the Sydney Medical Program lead and develop a geographically dispersed team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and service excellence drive the implementation of education strategies, policies, and initiatives aligned with Faculty and University priorities partner with academic leaders to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and enhance program performance monitor operational outcomes, manage risks, and develop solutions to complex challenges impacting program delivery build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders across clinical schools, hospitals, and the broader University community oversee education administration, compliance, reporting, governance, and record management activities champion a student-centred approach to service delivery and operational excellence About you You will bring: significant leadership experience managing professional teams and delivering high-quality operational outcomes in a tertiary education environment demonstrated success implementing strategic initiatives and translating organisational priorities into effective local practices exceptional stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build trusted partnerships across diverse groups experience leading change, improving processes, and driving continuous improvement initiatives strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making capabilities excellent communication and influencing skills, with the confidence to provide advice to senior leaders experience within higher education, health, or other large and complex organisations will be highly regarded a commitment to fostering an inclusive, collaborative, and high-performing team culture Sponsorship / work rights for Aust ralia You must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of this employment to be eligible to apply.
