The Department of Chemical Biology and Therapeutics is seeking a Senior Scientist to lead automated light-directed DNA synthesis platform for use in biomedical research and drug discovery. The Department of Chemical Biology and Therapeutics is seeking a Senior Scientist to lead automated light-directed DNA synthesis platform for use in biomedical research and drug discovery. The ideal candidate will have a background in chemical, biomedical, or electrical engineering, with experience in optics/photolithography and microfluidics. The application of the platform will involve oligonucleotide synthesis for various functions. Useful previous experience may include but not limited to microarray technology, microfluidics, optics/microscopy, microfabrication, ink jet technology, and surface/materials science. Additional projects may include high-throughput screening and printing microarray technology using legacy instruments such as the Quanterix Microarrayers and light directed synthesizers . Minimum Education and/or Training: Bachelor's degree in relevant scientific area is required. Minimum Experience: Ten (10) years relevant work experience is required with Bachelor's degree. Eight (8) years of relevant work experience is required with a Master's degree. Five (5) years of relevant work experience is required with a PhD.
